The 20th year promises a whole lot more for our list of loyal and existing customers together with other potential ones.
Intellect has added another feather to its cap by being one of the 18 brands being awarded the National Mark of Malaysian Brand on July 22, 2011. Founder and CEO Solomon Lee had the privilege of receiving the award from HRH Raja Dr Nazrin Shah Ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibbudin Shah, the Crown Prince of Perak at the Brand Entrepreneur Conference 2011, an event that was co-organised by the Branding Association of Malaysian and SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp) that was held at the Palace of the Golden Horses in Selangor, Malaysia.
Jointly organised by SME Corp and SIRIM QAS International, the National Mark is a certification scheme that distinguishes the select brands to be associated with Quality, Excellence and Distinction.
Intellect’s CEO Solomon Lee was featured as the cover story of Pillars, a section of the bi-weekly September 25-October 8, 2010 edition of Malaysia SME (The SME Paper). The four-page spread discussed about how he ventured into a business that was relatively unknown nearly 20 years ago, but has since turned his company into the leading IP firm in the northern region and one of the fastest growing in Malaysia today.
December 10, 2010 was a day to be remembered by Intellect because it received its third SME Recognition Award (SMERA), in the annual awards organised by the SMI Association of Malaysia. This time, Intellect gained victory in the Brand Excellence category.
It was a proud moment for us, to know that all our branding efforts and initiatives were recognized. Intellect understands the importance of keeping abreast with the latest trends, whether in economics or consumerism, so we are never resting on our laurels when it comes to truly understanding our brand and correctly positioning it.
Executive Director of Intellect, Bryan Wong represented Intellect in receiving the trophy and certificate that was presented by Y. B. Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, the Minister of Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs at the lavish affair that was held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.
The theme for 2010′s award was ‘Transforming SMEs Through Innovation’ and it was definitely fitting to urge and encourage all SMEs to start or continue innovating to ensure better success in their businesses.
At Intellect, we always strive to improve ourselves and thus we place great importance on our Quality Management System (QMS). We do our best to fulfill the criteria that is compliant with the international standards of QMS and we strongly believe that it is necessary to keep up with our QMS in order to serve our clients, both existing and prospective ones better.
Previously Intellect was ISO 9001: 2000 certified but in June 2010, the certification was upgraded to ISO 9001: 2008. This was Intellect’s way of moving with the times – that continuous improvement is needed in keeping up with the increasingly competitive business world.
On the 16th December 2009, Intellect was awarded the SME Recognition Award under the Services Excellence Category. SME Recognition Award (SMERA) Series is an annual award programme organised by the SMI Association of Malaysia to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of small and medium enterprises in Malaysia.
Launched in 2002, this Recognition Award programme is into its 811 consecutive year of Awards Presentation. It is well-supported by the leading Malaysian Chambers of Commerce, including the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce, the Malays Chambers of Commerce and the Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. SMI Association of Malaysia represents the aspirations and interests of more than 570,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) registered in the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
Intellect won the 38th place during an award presentation ceremony held in Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur on the 13th November 2009. Enterprise 50 is an annual award programme organised by the Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation (SMIDEC), now known as SME Corp and Deloitte Malaysia, with supporting sponsorship by Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), to celebrate and highlight the achievements of enterprising homegrown companies that are well positioned for the future.
ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System is a combination of previous standards which sought to make radical changes in management in all organizations. ISO 9001:2000 demands involvement by upper executives, in order to integrate quality into the business system and avoid delegation of quality functions to junior administrators. Another goal is to improve effectiveness via process performance metrics of tasks and activities. Expectations of continual process improvement and tracking customer satisfaction were made explicit.
Golden Bull Award is acknowledged as the most prestigious and representative annual business award, honouring the best of SMEs in Malaysia by giving them due recognition for the hard-earned success and outstanding achievements. Presented by Nanyang Siang Pau, the Award claims to provide an effective platform to benchmark successful SMEs and to encourage more SMEs to strive for excellence in today’s ever-changing competitive globalised marketplace.
Golden Bull Award is a testament to a rising trend of awareness and recogniton towards the importance of SMEs in spearheading the continued economic growth of Malaysia. Being among the recipient for the prized award in year 2008, Intellect Worldwird Sdn bhd seeks to exhibit a reputation match by few in the field of Intellectual Property and Franchise consultancy.
On the 30th November 2007, Intellect Worldwide was given this accolade in a glittering ceremony that saw our CEO, Solomon Lee, accepting the award from the then Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Dr Maximus J. Ongkili (now the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation) at the Sunway Convention Centre in Bandar Sunway, Selangor.
This is an annual award from the SMI Association Malaysia to recognize and honour SMEs that have shown outstanding quality overall.
