Trademark Opposition

The opposition is when the Applicant’s trademark is being opposed by the 3rd party or the Applicant wishes to oppose other trademark published in the Government Gazette.

Duration:

Applicant/opponent will be given 2 months from the gazette date to initiate an opposition proceeding. The whole opposition proceeding may require approximately 12 – 16 depending on the stages of the opposition.
