Patent Substantive Examination

Once the request for substantive examination is received by MyIPO, the examiners will initiate the substantive examination process. This examination encompasses a worldwide novelty search and examination on the patent specification on the meet the requirements of patentability: worldwide novelty, inventiveness, and industrially applicable.

Duration:

MyIPO shall issue the first examination report within four years from the application date.
