Industrial Design (“ID”) rights are territorial. Therefore, filing an ID in Malaysia only provides an owner right in Malaysia. Therefore, the applicant may file a similar ID to other countries of interest within 6 months (if the priority date claiming is needed).
Industrial Design Overseas Application
Duration:
If priority date claiming is needed, overseas application must be filed within six months from the first ID application.
Requirement:
Name of applicant, the address of the applicant, name of the author of the design, address of the authorized person signing the application form, tile of the design and drawings. Please contact us for more details. We are able to file IDs in nearly all countries.
