Patent Request for SE

In this compulsory step, the applicant must request for substantive examination in order for the patent examiners to initiate a substantive examination to the patent specification.

Duration:

Within eighteen months from application date.

Requirement:

The applicant is required to file a request for substantive examination within eighteen months from the application date, failing which, the application will be deemed as withdrawn.
